Chief Mrs Funmilayo Hassan

Funmilayo Hassan is the founder/ Executive director of Center for Economic Empowerment and Gender Activities CEEGa. She is a woman/girl advocates for more than 20 years in Nigeria. She had served with notable organisations as animator, program officer, deputy coordinator and advisor on women emancipation with Justice development and peace commission JDPC, WSSSRP, Water Supply and Sanitation Reform program Yobe. She obtained B.sc in Public Administration, post professional diploma in Policy Development and Administration, diploma in integrated rural development and other professional certificates in Monitoring and Evaluation, Gender and development course, strategic planning and resource mobilization, Adolescent sexual and Reproductive health rights, Financial management skills, social behaviour change communication training, Human rights fact finding, documentation and advocacy, Output performance through social research, data collection and analysis, organisational culture change and safeguarding.

Currently, she manages ASRH project funded by Options, UKand through this had empowered more than 200 adolescent girls on vocational skills and entrepreneurship. The organisation coordinates micro credit scheme for grassroot women/ girls in Sagamu Local government. She coordinates the network of APROCHWG. Funmilayo has expertise in Gender and development issues, vocational skills training, mentorship, and organisational culture change.
